Are there any effective medications to treat post polio syndrome?

Muscle relaxants/PT: It depends on the problems that the person with post polio syndrome is having. Often people with this have a lot of muscle spasms and we use muscle relaxants to help with this. Physical therapy is also very helpful to people with post polio syndrome. It helps keep the muscles strong and limber. Yoga can be helpful in some patients as well to help with spasm and stiffness.

No: Unfortunately, there have been medication trials to try to improve strength and fatigue in post polio syndrome but none have been proven effective to date.

No THERE IS NONE: Even though certain meds like Minocycline,Prednisone,Growth Hormone and intravenous immuno Globulin have been tried but there was no improvement So there is really no effective meds to treat Post Polio Syndrome, But symptomatic relief can be obtained by pain meds for pain
