A female asked:
Can carbuncles cause bruising? is it possible for a carbuncle to develop and be so hard that it bruises the skin around it?

Yes: A carbuncle is a "boil" with multiple heads and it is a serious infection of the skin. Bruising is a form of hemorrhage into the skin and is entirely possible with a carbuncle. Your immunity is in question. Look to the nature of your diet.
