A member asked:

I get lightheaded everyday and sometimes blackout and fall to the ground for a short period of time, can this be treated?

Most likely yes: Becoming light headed and intermittent blackouts are definitely treatable in many patients. The possible causes of these symptoms include anemia, heart arrhythmia, ear problems, brain tumors, ms, and several other more ominous problems. Please see your pcp for formal workup.

Hopefully: You need to be evaluated by your doctor as soon as possible. Blacking out is never a normal symptom. You could be having any number of issues, the most likely may be an abnormal heart rhythm.
