Nerve irritation: Something is irritating a nerve in your arm. Could be a pinched nerve in your neck or inflamation of a nerve, such as can occur with a virus. Either way, you'll be ok, though you might want to see a neurologist to nip this in the bud.

Cervical spine: I would let your primary care physician know. It may be an intrinsic shoulder issue or a manifestation of arthritis in your cervical spine. An imaging study may be warranted.
