I have strange pinging sounds in my head like an elastic band, should i be concerned?

Depends: It depends on what you are describing as a pinging sound. Usual sounds in the head could be an indication of what is described as tinnitus. Tinnitus can be benign, but can also indicate blood flow across a high pressure vascular bed, such as seen in a fistula or abnormal blood vessels in the brain. It these symptoms continue, it may be wise to see a doctor for further evaluation.

Don't know: Probably not. Get a hearing test and talk to your gp.
