A member asked:

How is a carbuncle different from a zit? if a group of zits were really close together wouldnt this be the same thing as a carbuncle?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: A carbuncle is a "boil" with multiple heads and is a serious skin infection. "zits" are usually much less virulent and smaller than a "boil".
