What should i check besides my iron count when suffering from anemia?

Many possibilities: Iron deficiency accounts for only one of many forms of anemia. By taking a history and looking at the complete blood count (cbc), your physician should be able to narrow it down and recommend the appropriate testing.

See below: Agree with Dr. B. It is best left to your doctor who is trained in these issues. Have a healthy diet, exercise, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, if you do. Wish you good health!
