A member asked:

How can you determine whether you have allergies or a different heat-related reaction?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Other symptoms: It depends on whether other symptoms are present. With an allergic reaction, itching is a prominent component. The rash may appear as raised red welts or hives, and typically the rash comes and goes. With a heat-related reaction, the rash is usually flat and red with little or no itching.
