A member asked:

I have an iud...i can not feel it. what should i do? and is this serious? i have tried everyway to fill for it and i can not.. i am still bleeding.

Call your doctor: The way to check whether an iud is in place is to feel in the vagina to feel the strings. If a woman felt the strings in the past but no longer does it can mean the strings pulled up into the uterus but the iud is still in place, or that the iud fell out or is out of position. An ultrasound will show if an iud is in position or not.
