Couple suggestions: As babies learn to walk, they will grab anything to hold on, including electrical cords attached to coffee pots. Babies fall often at this stage and furniture with sharp edges or stonework may be dangerous. Burns and drowning are possible hazards at this age as baby explores the house. Avoid small toys or toys with small pieces that may break off and become lodged in the throat or lungs.

Agree: Additionally, you might want to remove toxic but attractive substances that can be ingested from your home. By this i mean soaps, disinfectants, drain cleaners, detergents, bleaches etc.. If it smells good, it will go right into the mouth. Replace with non-toxic cleaners, or if you can't or won't, make sure these substances are both locked up and out of reach.
