Why do i feel dizzy after getting up too quick?

Orthostasis: When you stand up, almost a liter of blood immediately pools in your legs. The body compensates for this by fast and slow mechanisms, but both take a period of time to engage, while gravity does not. The dizziness will be worse going from fully laying down to fully standing, worse with much more rapid rise, and worse when dehydrated.
