Well this is complex: Vertebral hemangioma is a common entity and seen in perhaps 1 in 5 patients. Its is very common. Cancer in a 39 yo is uncommon and unlikely but not impossible. Although a pre and post test might help a little it would be far more useful to obtain any old exams which included this area and see if it was present and stable. This is rarely done. They usually order more tests.
