Yes: Having one ovary removed, makes the other ovary, if normal, work every month. It appears that having a menstrual cycle each month means that you probably ovulate each month. This may mean that Clomid (clomiphene) isn't necessary if you menstruate each month without it.

See a fertility specialist (rei) to get checked out: having one ovary removed, at any age, puts you at high risk for diminished ovarian reserve (low egg supply) - lower egg numbers and quality. Treatments include releasing more than one egg with Clomid (clomiphene) or Letrozole or using injectable medicines. Some women need in vitro fertilization.
