Guessing glans penis: One young man referred to the glans penis as the "mushroom part" of the penis - the sensitive end of the penis. This is different than "glands" - which are parts of the body that produce hormones. Examples are the thyroid gland which puts out thyroid hormone, or the ovary which makes estrogen, progesterone, etc. I hope this helps.
