Depends: On what you do for a living. If it is a desk job yes. If you do physical labor than it will depend if your job makes your leg pain worse.

Depends: Really depends on how bad the pain is. Try using Ibuprofen and tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain. Can also use ice to reduce swelling, heat can help to get rid of the bruise sooner.
