Depends: A fracture that does not heal sometimes needs more time in a cast. However, if it is painful or crooked, surgery may be necessary to reset the fracture.

See hand surgeon: This can be a complex problem and you must first determine if it is a nonunion or malunion. In either event this is best evaluated and treated by a dedicated hand surgeon.
