A member asked:

Will a lymphangioma eventually grow smaller and go away on its own?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Lymphangiomas are defects of the lymphatic system not to be confused with hemangiomas. Hemangiomas are known to involute as the child grows older after the first year of life. Lymphangiomas often require surgical excision if they are large. Emergency surgery is reserved for those lesions involving the airway.
