Will i gain weight in pregnancy?

Yes: Women gain weight during pregnancy. There is a normal range of weight gain that a pregnant woman and her doctor can talk about. Too much or too little weight gain are not good. Exception: possibly, an obese woman (from overeating) could get pregnant and then start eating properly, and lose "fat" weight at the same rate that she gains "pregnancy" weight, thus appearing to not to gain any weight.

Yes: Weight gain during pregnancy depends on your pre-pregnancy weight. If you are normal weight, you should gain 25-35 lbs (5-10 lbs in the first 20wks of pregnancy and 1 lb/wk after that). If you are overweight, you should gain 15-25 lbs total. If you are expecting twins, you should gain 35-45 lbs total. Be careful not to gain too much weight in pregnancy. Ask your dr/cnm what is right for you.
