A healthy child: Expect a healthy child! if you have sickle cell anemia then you will pass that trait on to all your children and they will lead normal lives with just sickle cell trait. It is important to know if the father of the child has sickle trait...If so then there is a 50 % chance your children together will have sickle cell anemia. Have you discussed this with your physician? You need to.

Depends: Do have sickle cell disease or sickle cell trait? If you have sickle cell disease and the father also carries the disease , all of your children will have the disease. At the other end, if you have sickle cell trait and the father is normal, half of your children will have the trait but will be generally healthy. There are possibilities in between.
