Unfortunately its a: Diagnosis which is very aggressive. Treatment for this malignancy is still not that advanced. The preponderance of people die within 6 months. There are exceptions but they are quite rare as of yet. Dr. B.

Difficult: There are different types, but the classic "pancreatic cancer" is adenocarcinoma. The prognosis for pancreatic cancer tends to be quite poor. The most successful treatment is an operation, but only a minority are eligible for this. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy are also useful. Most patient succumb to their disease within a few years, or earlier depending on the cancer extent.
