Liver transplant: A patient must be placed on a national waiting list managed by the united network for organ sharing (unos) in order to receive a liver transplant. I refer you to other resources to get an idea of how this list is generated. I could not find any statistics to answer your question specifically. The average wait time for a liver is just over 300 days.

Too many: And the unos numbers underestimate them, because many patients are removed from the waiting list when they get too sick to be able to be transplanted. Be an organ donor...Make a miracle!
