The damage takes: Place over time. You slowly cause irritation and damage to the liver. Depending on how much you drink and how many years, your weight and your own sensitivity over the years it can eventually progress from mild hepatic liver enzyme elevation to alcoholic hepatitis to eventually frank cirrhosis and eventually death.

Absolutely: large consumption can lead to liver damage and possibly cirrhosis and fatty liver. everything done in moderation is often a good rule to follow
