Bypass pts often: Bypass ptshave a irritable heart after surgery this can cause irreg heart rythm called atrial flutter or atrial fib. This is usually transient but can be permanant.

Common: It may feel like fluttering since heart sac disrupted. It may really have flutter or atrial fibrillation or pvcs or other arrhythmias after heart surgery. About 1/3 of patients do and most get over it by 6 week followup.
