Depends: If you have had a work up for your palpitations and was ok, you should not worry. If you have not checked with your doctor, please do. The clinical significance of palpitations depends on what kind of arrhythmia is causing the palpitations and if the heart is normal or not. In a normal heart, palpitations are usually not important.
