That depends: In general, low blood pressure is not a bad thing. People with low blood pressure live longer. However, in some cases the blood pressure is low because of disease and then it is not necessarily a good thing. If the blood pressure is too low the patient can pass out or get weak. Also the blood flow to the brain and kidneys can get too low causing mental status changes or kidney failure.
