60 mmHg: The normal diastolic pressure for adults is 80mmhg. Can be considered acceptable from 70 to 85 mmhg. Higher than that is prehypertension. Lowr than 70 mmhg is common normal finding in patients older than 70 years old. Diastolic blood pressure lower than 60 mmhg in adults younger than 65yo raises the ssupicion of valvular problems.

Less than 80 mmHg: A normal diastolic blood pressure is less than 80 mmhg. A diastolic blood pressure below 60 mmhg could be associated with symptoms such as lightheadedness. For a person who is not taking any blood pressure medications and who has no symptoms, a low diastolic blood pressure is not thought to be dangerous.
