A member asked:

What does it mean if a systolic pressure is normal and the diastolic is low? 126/60

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal: Don't worry, this is common and normal to see. Oftentimes automated blood pressure cuffs have difficulty in finding an accurate diastolic BP (the lower number). A wide difference (>80) between the systolic and diastolic pressures would be abnormal and worth investigation.
