Depends on cause: That would depend on the reason for the pain. Pain do to coronary artery disease might be treated with nitroglycerine or beta blockers. That secondary to pericarditis, with non-steroidals. Pain from a fractured rib would be treated with non-specific pain medications such as Codeine for instance. So it depends on what is causing the pain.

Multiple treatments: Chest pain can be a symptom of heart disease but may be may other things such as esophageal spasms, great vessel disease, respiratory disorders (asthma, COPD, bronchitis, infections), and muscle problems to name a few. The specific treatment for any of these disorders is varied. It really depends on the clinical situation and other symptoms you may be having.
