You : You are referring to a so called "sliding scale". That dose is worked out for each person taking Insulin who is using mealtime or fast acting Insulin like humalog, NovoLog or apidra (insulin glulisine). There are different ways of estimating the dose needed to lower your blood sugar a specified amount. If you take one of these insulins get guidance based upon your weight, blood sugars and total Insulin dose how much you might need. Every : Every individual has a different "correction factor" or Insulin requirement for any bs above target range and it will be hard to tell how much Insulin you need based on the information you provided. My best advise for you is to contact your physician on call for further guidance.
