This : This is a great question. The symptoms of hypothyroidism are: fatigue, cold intolerance, constipation, dry skin, dry hair, hair loss, a slower heart rate, and weight gain. Sometimes patients also experience joint aching. Hypothyroidism can be diagnosed with a blood test. If you are having some of these symptoms, it would be a good idea to see you doctor and get tested for hypothyroidism. Most patients feel much better once their hypothyroidism is treated.

The : The symptoms of hypothyroidism can vary depending on the individual. Fatigue, hair loss, dry skin, difficulty in weight loss, cold intolerance and constipation are the most common. Its also not unusual to have no symptoms at all (see it more often in children and teenagers). The basic tests that can help in determining if you have hypothyroidism (under active thyroid) include TSH and t4. If you have a family history of thyroid problems, checking thyroid antibodies will also be helpful. Good luck. Cayce t.
