Recurrent Hernia : If there is tender bulge in the area, an incarcerated recurrent umbilical (on incisional) hernia may be quite possible. Nevertheless, given your past history of umbilical hernias, and the presence now of pain, nausea and vomiting, the level of concern is significant. I suggest you contact you physician or if necessary go to an emergency department to be seen today-sooner rather than later.
