Congratulations!! : Congratulations! by the information you gave me, you are most likely 3-6 weeks pregnant. By 3 to 4 weeks after conception, pregnancy tests start to become positive and you can see the gestational sac, but not the embryo on ultrasound. By around 6-7 weeks, you start to see the embryo and pick up a heartbeat. Your doctor may have a better idea of how far along you are by measurements of the gestational sac. Ask at your next appointment. Good luck!

If : If you don't have regular periods, there's no accurate way to estimate when you ovulated and/or conceived. The only certain thing here is that you conceived at least a week prior to your first pregnancy test. If your ultrasound didn't reveal an embryo, you're probably less than 5 to 5 1/2 weeks along (a gestational sac can be seen by an experienced technician using transvaginal ultrasound as early as 4 weeks, but in many cases a pregnancy cannot be detected via ultrasound until the 5th week). Since you posted your question a week ago, you may have had another ultrasound in the interim and your question may have been answered. If not, your doctor will probably order another ultrasound soon. In the meantime, congratulations and good luck!
