The : The iud is pretty effective if in the right location. About 97% or so. There is a chance of pregnancy, however since your pregnancy tests were negative, this is not likely. Your symptoms could be due to hormonal changes. If your symptoms persist or you develop lower abdominal pain, see your doctor, especially since ectopic pregnancy is common if you conceive with an iud in place. All the best.
