I have a painful swollen bump in a vein on the palm of my hand? the bump appeared about 36 hours ago and continues to get worse. i have not hit it or injuried it in anyway.

If : If it's a small thrombosed vein in the skin, it will hurt for a few days and then clear up. If there are no signs of anything worse, i would give it some time.

Such : Such painful swollen bump if associated with a black and blue hue is often a bleed of a vessel beneath the skin, often seen with trauma. Blood clot in a palm vein is a possibility, and as it has gotten progressively worst over 3 days, you should see your doctor about this.
