How is the air in the drop down masks on commercial airlines different from the air in the cabin?

Higher O2: Drop down masks flow oxygen at higher concentration than cabin air. Same principle as when oxygen is given to a patient to breathe. Higher oxygen concentrations deliver more purified oxygen at higher concentrations than ambient air has, with less impurities also.

More oxygen: there is a higher concentration of oxygen in the air source in the mask.
