Carcinoembryonic : Carcinoembryonic antigen (cea) can be measured in the blood (plasma) and the normal range is usually reported as less than 2.5 ng/ml or less than 2.5 micrograms/liter. For smokers the normal cut off is 5 ng/ml. Age, infection, inflammation and some cancers can elevate the CEA level.
