Any : Any swelling of the face is a concern for possibly some type of allergic reaction which can include swelling in the mouth, tongue, and even the vocal cards and upper airway. If indeed you are having trouble breathing, you need to be seen immediately in an emergency department. The best thing to do is call 911 and be transported by way of ambulance. There are many reasons for this to happen, the most common from medications used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It can also happen from an allergic reaction to a medication or other allergies, to name a few.
