Make : Make sure that the area has been cleansed first with soap and water. If you have not had a recent (within the past 10 years) tetanus shot, that may be your next move. Topical antibiotics may be helpful to cover the area, or vaseline if it is not infected appearing. Hopefully that helps, if it looks bad or infected, you may need to get a culture of the area for bacteria and fungus. Oral antibiotics may also be necessary.
