Eye : Eye cancers are very rare in the general public. Patients can have eye cancers on the eyelids (similar to skin cancers to elsewhere on the body), on the surface of the eye or inside of the eye. Melanomas can develop inside of the eye because there are pigmented cells in the uveal tract. A complete eye exam, including dilation, is an excellent way to screen for these conditions.

Eye : Eye cancer is not common but it does exist. To minimize the risk, you should minimize the exposure to uv radiation. Good start is to use sunglasses when you are outdoors. This is similar to using sunscreen when you go outdoors.
