Using : Using an ovulation predictor kit is a great place to start. I tell my patients to start having intercourse every other day starting the day the kit tells them to start testing. Once it turns positive they should have intercourse the next day also. Mild to moderate exercise is a good idea but avoid vigorous exercise unless you are overweight. Eat a healthy diet and make sure you are avoiding cigarettes, caffeine and excessive alcohol intake. Make sure your partner is avoiding exposure to extremes of heat, especially hot tubs. It is also important to know what the definition of infertility is. If you are < 36 it is 12 months of exposure without conception. If you are 36 or greater, it is 6 months. If you meet the diagnosis of infertility, you should be evaluated for a reason for your infertility. The biggest problem i face as a fertility specialist is the patient's age.
