Yes: You should definitely avoid flagyl, an antibiotic that will cause vomiting if taken with alcohol. You should also avoid taking any ssri's - antidepressants such as prozac, celexa, zoloft, lexapro, Paxil (paroxetine) - as the combination of these medications and alcohol can cause nausea and increased anxiety symptoms.

Yes: There are may drugs that have potentially dangerous interactions with alcohol, too numerous to list here. They may include prescription agents, over the counter drugs and herbal products. Check with your pharmacist or doctor before using any such agent.

Alcohol: Alcohol can interact with medication and cause either additive effect (toxicity) or lowers potency of medication. The only safe medicine that comes to mind is placebo (sugar pill).
