There : There are several reasons why women have pelvic cramps. If your menses are heavier, that may be the reason for the cramps. Sometimes peri-menopausal women have heavier bleeding than they did when they were young. You many have adenomyosis, or an enlarged fibroid. It would be better to see a doctor to evaluate your symptoms fully and maybe get an ultrasound done to find the cause of the cramping.
