I : I certainly won’t tell you not to worry. Your addiction to laxatives could lead to significant health problems. Stimulant laxative abuse can lead to blood in stool. When this keeps occurring you can develop anemia. Just so you know, possible effects of withdrawal from laxatives can include feeling bloated, retaining fluid, constipation and weight gain. These are temporary symptoms you need to be drinking 8 -8 ounce glasses of water per day. Avoid caffeinated beverages. No diuretics & no laxatives (unless directed by your doctor).
