Hello. : Hello. Geodon (ziprasidone) has a half life of approximately 7 hours. It normally takes about five half lives to eliminate 97% of a medication from your system. Approximately 35 hours to get most of the drug out. However, it could take several days to eliminate all of it. It is recommended that Geodon (ziprasidone) be tapered under a medical provider's supervision.

General rule: If you have been taking Geodon (ziprasidone) for a while at a therapeutic dose level, then as long as it takes to get into the system at a therapeutic level 2-6 weeks is about how long it takes to leave the system 2-6 weeks.
