Not normal: That is not a normal period pattern. For your age - it could be something like a hormonal imbalance (anovulatory bleeding), or a thyroid condition, or an ovarian cyst. If you only started getting periods within the past year, sometimes the hormone signals that cause periods to occur can be irregular and cause irreg periods. But u should see a dr, to check for bleeding problmes/anemia, and help fix.
