Speaking : Speaking solely as a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, I have used it as dorsal onlay grafts in the nose to help smooth out contour irregularities or augment a bridgeline, as a soft tissue filler in the face as an underlay graft for depressed scars, and in some cases for static suspension in patients with facial paralysis (now prefer goretex).

Tissue graft: The alloderm is a donated tissue, used as connective tissue graft around teeth that has lost the attached gingiva, due to ooclusal trauma like bruxing, or abrasive brushing, or poor dental work alloderm or perioderm are the same, it's safe and effective in covering root recession
