What is it when you feel like you have a hair in the back of you mouth and throat when there isn't? i've had this for about a week. what do i do about this?

A : A foreign body sensation such as this is often caused by post-nasal drainage it is possible the quality of mucous you are producing may be thick and tenaceous giving you a tickling sensation. An elongated or swollen uvula, also often seen associated with post-nasal drainage might give you this feeling. Severe laryngopharyngeal reflux (lpr) can give a foreign body/tickling sensation but this usually has other symptoms associated with it. If it bothers you enough have someone take a look back there.
