A : A 2 year old child should be drinking about 16-20 oz of 2% milk per day. This is enough to provide him with the calcium he needs, but not enough to cause anemia. If he is drinking more than this, try to cut back to 16-20oz a day which may help his constipation. Other things you can do to help are to make sure he is eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and drinking lots of water. These will also cause more regular and softer stools. If you make all of these changes and he is still having problems with constipation, you should contact his doctor. Good luck!
