A : A 2nd generation antihistamine, like claritin, not claritin-d, or nasal steriod (not otc) would probably be safe, but would check with your doctor first.

Talk to YOUR doctor: If you have emphysema/bronchitis, you need a physician with experience in treating pulmonary diseases, and should probably be on a number of medications, including regular inhalers to improve pulmonary function, and acute "rescue" inhalers for sudden symptoms. There are other meds as well. What otc meds you take depends on your other meds, blood pressure etc, and cause of heart murmur. See md.
