I : I am truly concerned by your report and would not expect pink frosting to cause a red bowel movement. I strongly urge you to check with your doctor perhaps getting a stool test for blood and a blood test for blood count as well as check of vital signs promptly.

Since : Since you posted this question a week ago, you've undoubtedly discovered that no medical care was warranted in this situation. Foods are a common source of strangely colored stools, because many dyes and pigments aren't digested as they pass through your gastrointestinal tract. Hence, they exit your body in pretty much the same form they entered. While a red-colored bowel movement can be alarming, when it's due to consuming a food-based colorant it won't do any harm.
